Founders & Keepers began with a simple desire: to share true stories from America’s past with my children - and to help those stories become part of who they are.

Somewhere along the way, history started feeling dry and distant for a lot of kids (and honestly, adults too). But history was never meant to be a list of facts. It’s the story of real people making difficult choices, showing courage, perseverance, conviction, and creativity when it mattered.

Each month, Founders & Keepers shares one carefully chosen story through an illustrated letter, meaningful keepsakes, and simple questions that help families connect the story to life today.

These are not textbooks packed with facts to memorize. They are stories meant to spark conversation - and help families notice the character, choices, and qualities worth carrying forward.

More than anything, I wanted to create something families could genuinely enjoy together - something a little slower, richer, and more memorable than another evening spent scrolling.
